sabbatical:)
hi everyone!!!today i will be sharing with you my sabbatical experience. My sabt. is art in nature and although it does not have the word science in it,it is much related to science. There were 2 guided toursto the sunegh buloh...and i love that place.I saw crocs, otters, crabs, mudskippers, some rare migratory birds, snakes and loads more. This is related to bio. and diversity. There are many boards in thee place which share infos with us like how to spot differnt birds as now,it is the migrating season which means that many rare birds(occasionally large eagles and even condors!!!:0)the guided tour was very good as i learnt a lot from it like i learn that at the entrance of the place, there are 2 trees, the sonneratia caseolaris and the chandrons spataacca. You know what, these plants are extrmely rare and you can only find about 3 of them each in singapore. One of them was even thought to be extinct untill the 1998 where it was found at sunei butogh.I learn the=at mangroves are very great plants despite its ugly looks...most mangroves have antiboitic elements in its leaves and it is able to cure sickness like ulcers, sorethroat, fight infections and even help you to get a better skin tan when you apply them!!!Some mangrove fruits even edible and are healthy and can work as medicines. As such,i learnt that mangroves are so important in the world we learn in and i learn many scientific facts in the sabt.!!!:):):)
